About the Plant Program
The FireSmart BC Plant Program is a plant tagging initiative designed to help landscapers and gardeners identify fire-resistant plants at their local nursery, garden centre, or other point of sale.
Participating garden centres and nurseries—known as Plant Partners—are provided with these tags and other materials to help their customers make informed decisions and enhance resilience for their communities. Additional Plant Partner benefits include:
- Official recognition on the FireSmart BC website
- Promotional support via FireSmart BC social media
- Access to appearances from Ember for community and store events
- Input on the future development of the Plant Program across BC
