Wildfire Mitigation Program Course Description

The Wildfire Mitigation Specialist training is a 24-hour course, which includes roughly 60% of field time. The WMS training is a requirement to operate the WMP and will solidify a student’s knowledge and understanding of how to prevent structure loss posed by wildfire and competently use the WMP home assessment framework.
