Wildfire Mitigation Program

The FireSmart BC Wildfire Mitigation Program (WMP) was designed to engage residents in voluntary wildfire mitigation activities by offering a professional home assessment with property-specific recommendations.

FireSmart Plant Program

With the help of unique FireSmart Plant Tags, the FireSmart Plant Program helps residents find safer plants at their local participating garden centres.

Education Program

The FireSmart BC Education Program is an all-in-one teaching resource to introduce students in grades K-12 to FireSmart concepts, including how to make homes and communities more resilient to wildfire.

FireSmart Canada Neighbourhood Recognition Program (FCNRP)

FireSmart Canada developed the FCNRP to officially recognize neighbourhoods that have taken critical steps to reduce their vulnerabilities to wildfire. Because FireSmart is most effective when neighbours band together.

Library Program

The FireSmart BC Library Program is the first children’s literacy program dedicated to wildfire resiliency! The FireSmart BC Library Program was designed to help children understand what it means to live with wildfires and the role they can play in mitigating the impacts of wildfires on their home and community.
